Victoria Justice to Star in Boy Who Cried Werewolf

-For the first time, Nickelodeon held an Upfront Presentation in Los Angeles. The event was held at The Music Box at the Fonda in Hollywood.

Big Time Rush, Victoria Justice, & Josh Duhamel were all on hand to talk about their shows. Also, it was announced that six new series and new seasons of 16 returning hits such as top-ranked iCarly, SpongeBob SquarePants and Team Umizoomi, Nickelodeon also will premiere three new TV movies, including: Fred: The Movie, starring Lucas Cruikshank as online sensation Fred Figglehorn; Boy Who Cried Werewolf, starring Victoria Justice and Brooke Shields; and Best Player starring iCarly’s Jerry Trainor and Jennette McCurdy. Nickelodeon also has acquired My Wife and Kids (123 episodes), starring Damon Wayans (In Living Color, Major Payne), which will debut on Nick at Nite this fall.

Nicole Anderson & Anna Maria Express Themselves

-Nicole Anderson, Meaghan Martin, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Roshon Fegan, & Kevin Schmidt attended the 12th Annual P.S. ARTS “Express Yourself 2009″ event to help restore arts education in public schools. The event took place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Sunday. Kevin Schmidt Heading to Cartoon Network

-Congrats to Kevin Schmidt! The “Princess Protection Program” & “Cheaper By the Dozen” star has landed the lead in a new live-action series from Cartoon Network called “Unnatural History” according to the Hollywood Reporter. The show centers on a high school student (Kevin G. Schmidt) with exceptional skills acquired through years of globe-trotting with his anthropologist parents. He and his smooth-talking cousin (Jordan Gavaris) find themselves wrapped up in mysteries revolving around the national museum. Mike Werb created the series for Warner Horizon TV.

The network has also picked up live-action series “Tower Prep.” It centers on a rebellious teen (Drew Van Acker) who is trapped at a mysterious prep school for students with “unique potential.” Paul Dini is the writer-executive producer on the project from Cartoon Network Studios and Dolphin Entertainment.

These are Cartoon Network’s first live-action shows. “These new series will offer our viewers a type of action-packed event entertainment not found anywhere else,” said Rob Sorcher, chief content officer at Cartoon Network.

-”90210″ hottie Matt Lanter flashes a smile on the red carpet of the 2009 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party on Friday night. Also checking out the party were Matt’s co-stars Jessica Stroup, Dustin Milligan, AnnaLynne McCord, Michael Steger, and Jessica Lowndes and “Melrose Place” star Katie Cassidy. AnnaLynne even took a stumble on the red carpet, but she got right back up and smiled for pictures. What a trooper.

Taylor Spreitler & Kevin Schmidt: Hot Newcomers

-Young soap stars Taylor Spreitler & Kevin G. Schmidt were named 2 of the hottest newcomers in the newest issue of Soap Opera Digest. Taylor stars as teenage mom “Mia” on Days of Our Lives and Kevin plays “Noah” on The Young & the Restless..

When asked about their first “big” purchase, Taylor said she went on a shopping spree at stores like Forever 21. Kevin still hasn’t made any big purchases but is thinking of maybe a Hawaii vacation.

-Kevin G. Schmidt and Nicholas Braun sandwich in co-star Samantha Droke for a picture at her premiere party for their DCOM “Princess Protection Program.” In the movie, Kevin plays mean guy “Bull” while Nick plays lovestruck filmmaker “Ed.” Nick tweeted: Hey thanks for watching the movie tonight everybody. I had a blast with these guys @selenagomez @ddlovato @rgala @sammydroke @kevingschmidt…Weird that it is finally out. It’s been a year and 3 months since we filmed it. So much has happened since then.

Princess Protection Program Premieres June 26, DVD June 30

-The wait is finally over…“Princess Protection Program” has a premiere date: June 26. And even better, the movie starring Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez will be on DVD on June 30th, just 4 days later! The “Royal B.F.F. Extended Edition” Disney DVD will feature an exclusive new music video of “One and the Same” performed by Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, a behind-the-scenes look at the film with the teen stars, and a free “B.F.F” necklace set. Demi’s song “Two Worlds Collide” is also featured in the movie.

In the movie, royalty meets reality with Carter Mason, a rural Louisiana teen, and Rosalinda Marie Montoya Fiore, the soon-to-be teenage monarch of the tiny country of Costa Luna. The pair meets after Carter’s father, an agent in the covert international Princess Protection Program, rescues Rosalinda from a military take-over. He whisks Rosalinda to a PPP base where she receives a temporary new identity, Rosie Gonzalez, and is placed in his care until order can be restored in Costa Luna. When he arrives back in Lake Monroe, both teenagers are shell-shocked when Rosie moves into Carter’s room and the princess, posing as Carter’s visiting cousin from Iowa, begins adjusting to country life and enrolls in Carter’s school. Despite their differences, the girls slowly learn that there’s not only a lot to like about each other, but lessons to learn as well. That’s apparent when Rosie nominates Carter for homecoming queen over the heated objections of two jealous rivals, Chelsea and Brooke. And with her newfound realization, Carter brainstorms a way to help her new best friend regain her throne, even if it puts her own well-being at risk.

Also starring are Tom Verica (“American Dreams”) as Joe Mason, Jamie Chung (“Samurai Girl”) as Chelsea, Nick Braun (“Minutemen”) as Ed, Samantha Droke (“Horton Hears a Who!”) as Brooke, Kevin Schmidt as Bull, and Robert Adamson as Donny.
