Selena Gomez & Forever the Sickest Kids Collaboration Due May 26th

-Forever The Sickest Kids will re-release their hit single “Whoa Oh (Me vs. Everyone)” as a newly recorded collaboration with Hollywood Records’ artist and Disney Channel star Selena Gomez (“Wizards of Waverly Place”).

Check out the rest of the press release: FTSK and Gomez found themselves hanging out one day in a studio in their mutual hometown of Dallas and decided to have some fun recording some music and filming the process. When that video was posted on-line for fans, what started out as friends visiting with each other quickly turned into an internet sensation. An acoustic performance of FTSK and Gomez singing the band’s song “She’s A Lady” on YouTube has had more than 1,400,000 views.

FTSK and Gomez had such a good time together they returned to the studio to record a collaboration of the band’s first single off of their debut album, Underdog Alma Mater, “Whoa Oh (Me vs Everyone)”. The new version of the song will be available digitally on May 26th. Commenting on working with FTSK, Gomez said, “Working on this project with such amazing people showed me exactly how I believe my music should be fun, inspiring, transforming, uplifting and making memories.” FTSK responded, “Now Selena, she’s a lady!”

SO-M Exclusive: Forever the Sickest Kids Interview

-SO-M had the chance to chat with Forever the Sickest Kids during their Rockin’ Rodeo tour recently. They are some of the sweetest and funniest guys we’ve ever met. And SUPER RANDOM! I think they maybe gave us a total of 2 serious answers in the whole interview, but that’s what makes it fun.

Check out the two parts below…the first part is our questions, and the second part is fan questions that you all submitted. We tried to get them to dish about their duet with Selena Gomez, but they kept their lips pretty sealed. Check out the interview below, and if you missed our concert pics and video of FTSK, check that out HERE.

Forever the Sickest Kids at Crocodile Rock

-Forever the Sickest Kids took over the Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown, PA on Friday night for the Rockin’ Rodeo tour. They opened with “Hey Brittany” and closed with “She’s A Lady,” never letting the energy in the room drop. Such great performers.

Before the show we had the chance to chat with the guys, and let me tell you, it was one of the funniest, most random interviews we’ve ever done here at Shine On. Stay tuned for that. We tried to get them to spill about the song they did with Selena Gomez, but they kept their lips sealed. Guess we’ll have to wait to hear it.
