Train to Guest Star on “90210″

“90210″ is about to get a visit from a special musical guest – Train!

According to EW, Train will appear on an episode of the CW show scheduled to air in late February. The band will perform their new single “Drive By” in the episode, which finds the gang heading to a music festival in the desert.

“Drive By” is available on iTunes today and you can take a listen to the track below. The song is the first single from the band’s upcoming album.

“90210″ Celebrates a Dramatic Thanksgiving in ‘Smoked Turkey’ Tonight (Photos)

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, which means it’s also turkey time for “90210.”

In tonight’s new episode, “Smoked Turkey,” Dixon (Tristan Wilds) tries to pursue a relationship with a resistant Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes), while Ivy (Gillian Zinser) and Raj’s (guest star Manish Dayal) arguing takes a toll on their relationship. Liam (Matt Lanter) plans a holiday dinner for the gang, and an unexpected guest shows up. Meanwhile, Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) goes to extremes to prove her love to Austin (guest star Justin Deeley).

While Liam’s intentions are good, drama is sure to ensue. So who is that unexpected guest? Liam’s mom! Matt recently spilled to HollywoodLife.com, “His mom comes back, which is really emotional for him. His family’s not a good time for Liam.”

Matt continued, “Liam tries to make Thanksgiving dinner good for everybody, and it just kind of blows up in his face. Things just catch fire — literally.”

Sounds like one heck of a time! Check out photos and a preview of the episode below. “Smoked Turkey” airs tonight at 8pm on the CW.

Diego Boneta Is Heading to ’90210′

-Mexican pop star Diego Boneta is getting ready to hit the beach! TV Guide reveals that Diego will be playing “Javier” on the CW’s “90210″, a young musician, in multiple episodes beginning in May. Javier has a fling with Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes), whose story line will become increasingly music-centric when she joins an all-girl band.

Diego did reveal the news this past weekend on his twitter. This will be Boneta’s first high-profile American acting gig. As a recording artist, Boneta (who has also performed as Diego Indigo and Diego Gonzalez) has been nominated for Latin MTV Awards and Latin Grammys. You might also recognize Diego as the male lead in Miranda Cosgrove’s music video for “About You Now”.

“90210″ returns with new episodes on Tuesday, March 9 at 8/7c on the CW.

Matt Lanter: Hot or Not?

-It was announced last week that Dustin Milligan’s character “Ethan” on the CW’s “90210″ won’t be returning next season, but Matt Lanter’s character “Liam” will become a series regular. Matt was previously in Disaster Movie and the upcoming Sorority Row.

Do you think Matt is hot or not? Do you like “Ethan” or “Liam” more? Find out more about Matt and his character in the TV Guide interview below.

Dustin Milligan Gets the Boot from “90210″

-Dustin Milligan won’t be returning to Beverly Hills next season. Sources confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Dustin, who plays affable jock (and one half of 90210′s central super couple) Ethan, won’t be returning to the show in the fall — at least not full time.

All indications are that Milligan’s exit was strictly a creative decision. “Everyone loves Dustin,” maintains the insider. “There was just a feeling that the character had run its course.” (Curiously, the news comes just days after Milligan’s newbie co-star, Matt Lanter — a.k.a. bad boy Liam — confirmed that he was being promoted to a series regular next season.)

The departure of one the show’s most high profile leading men is the clearest indication yet that Sinclair’s ongoing reboot of the reboot will be anything but minor. Viewers will get their first taste of the Gilmore Girl alum’s new vision when 90210 returns from its winter hiatus this Tuesday with a hilariously campy outing that features the primetime soap trifecta: stalkers, street-racing, and scenery-chewing!

Looking ahead to season 2, Sinclair said last month that she wants to “reconceive things visually. There are opportunities to embrace California culture visually in terms of fashion and style; I want it to be more contemporary.

“If Gossip Girl is about youth in New York,” she elaborated, “I want to [make 90210] about youth in L.A. and Beverly Hills.”
