“Riverdale” returns with new episodes on January 17 but to hold you over until then, we have a new interview with Cheryl Blossom herself, Madelaine Petsch.
I caught up with Madelaine at the Celebrity Experience, which is an exclusive interactive event that occurs over five days in the Capital of the entertainment Industry. It was created by George Caceres and the event provides tools for success and opportunities for young performers to work in-person with celebrities and experience what it means to work in the entertainment industry first hand. The Celebrity Experience unites performers with Hollywood heavy hitters including casting directors, talent managers and international TV & Film stars.
The guest at this year’s first Celebrity Experience was Madelaine and before the event, I had the chance to chat with her about the best advice she has for young actors. “Don’t be hard on yourself. Take your time, rejection is going to happen. Keep moving forward and just stay passionate,” she shared.
Madelaine also talked about her best and worst auditions and of course I had to ask her what’s in store for Cheryl when “Riverdale” returns. Madelaine is a pro so she wouldn’t give too much away but she did tease that Cheryl will get an unexpected love interested. When asked if the merging of Riverdale High and Southside High have anything to do with this love interest, Madelaine replied, “it could have to do with anything.” Well played Madelaine, well played.
She did tease that she’s excited for fans to see episode 13 because, “I do something really cool that I had to take lessons for.” Madelaine also shared her excitement about Kiernan Shipka landing the role of Sabrina Spellman in Netflix’s “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” reboot.
