Selena Gomez has long been a supporter of WE Day and this year she’s taking on hosting duties in Los Angeles.
The “Revival” singer will serve as host at this year’s Los Angeles event on April 27 and she’s bringing along some famous pals. The day will feature a performance by Alicia Keys as well as appearances from Demi Lovato, Bryan Cranston, DJ Khaled, Lilly Collins, Miss Piggy & the Muppets, Alessia Cara, Josh Gad, Lilly Singh, Shay Mitchell, Sofia Carson, Auli’i Cravahlo, Tyrese Gibson, Jack & Jack and many more.
In a statement, Selena revealed, “My first WE Day experience was three years ago and to say I was impressed is an understatement. The electricity of an arena full of thousands of young people who are making real change in the world is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. I am grateful to be a part of such a supportive community and hope I can inspire the kids at WE Day just as they continue to inspire me.”
2017 WE Day will take place at The Forum in Inglewood, California. The event will bring together 16,000 youth from across the country to celebrate America’s younger generations taking action on social issues.
