We bet you can’t make it through Hailee Steinfeld’s new song without A) tapping your foot B) getting up and dancing or C) fist bumping.
The 18-year-old showed off her singing skills in Pitch Perfect 2 and now she’s giving us a taste of what’s to come on her debut album. Her first single, “Love Myself,” just dropped and it’s everything we wanted from her and more.
The song is perfect for the summer with its catchy beat and a sound that reminds us of a mix of Ellie Goulding and Jessie J with a little Icona Pop. Besides being catchy, the song is very empowering. If you haven’t guessed from the title, “Love Myself” is about learning to love yourself and not needing someone like a significant other to feel beautiful or complete.
