According to The Hollywood Reporter, 6 young hopefuls screen tested for the role of the famous web-slinger who will be appearing in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, which is currently filming in Atlanta.

The group flew to Atlanta to screen test on Saturday and the hopefuls included Tom Holland (The Impossible, How I Live Now), Asa Butterfield (Ender’s Game, Hugo), Charlie Rowe (“Red Band Society”), Judah Lewis (Demolition), Matthew Lintz (Pixels) and Charlie Plummer (“Boardwalk Empire”).

Many names have come up in the mix over the past few months but the screen test caps off a worldwide search in which the producers looked at over 1,500 boys from around the world. Marvel is hoping to introduce the new incarnation of Spider-Man in Cap 3 and then go into his own trilogy at Sony. Present for the tests were Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal and Joe and Anthony Russo, the brothers who are directing Civil War.
