Bella Thorne has a new gig!
Deadline broke the news today that the former “Shake It Up” star will be starring in a new ABC Family pilot called “Famous in Love.” The show is based on a book and will be adapted for the small screen by none other than “Pretty Little Liars’ executive producer I. Marlene King.
The drama is based on Rebecca Serle’s romantic novel of the same name which centers on a college student (Thorne) plucked from obscurity to star in a major Hollywood movie franchise who struggles with her new-found fame.
Bella not only will star in the pilot, but she has a connection with the actual book. The book was published in October and Bella even gave a quote about Famous In Love, which was featured on the book’s cover. “Rebecca Serle completely captured what it’s like to be a part of Young Hollywood,” Thorne said. “I absolutely loved Famous In Love. A must-read for anyone curious about life and love behind the scenes.”
