Last night, the patrons of Universal CityWalk enjoyed a fun night filled with music as Heffron Drive headed the night’s Music Spotlight Series.
The night kicked off with “Dog with a Blog” star Blake Michael DJ’ing and then newcomers Hobart Ocean took the stage. The band is part of CityWalk’s Street Performer program, a platform for emerging artists to showcase their talents to a wide range of visitors from around the world. The band were discovered at CityWalk and were quickly signed them to a record deal.
Heffron Drive will be heading out on the road soon on their Happy Mistakes Tour, but fans at CityWalk got a little preview of what to expect on the road. Kendall Schmidt & Dustin Belt played a number of their old HD songs and some awesome covers like Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” and “Rude” by MAGIC! The two brought their fun banter and high energy to the stage and had the crowd dancing and singing the whole time. They ended with their stellar single “Parallel.”
Many of Heffron Drive’s famous pals came out to show their support as well including Logan Henderson, Carlos PenaVega, Alexa PenaVega, Olivia Somerlyn, Katherine McNamara, Stephen Kramer Glickman and more.
