Drake Bell has announced some exciting news – a new album!
Drake made the announcement on Billboard.com that he will be releasing his new album, Ready Stead Go!, on April 22. The album will have a “slick rockabilly sound” and Drake got some help thanks to his childhood idol, Brian Setzer.
“When I was growing up, for some reason I was so attracted to the vintage style — I was so fascinated with the eras that I wasn’t able to experience,” Bell tells Billboard. He also shared that he wanted his studio return to encompass “a modern throwback record — like an Amy Winehouse or a Bruno Mars (album), but even more stripped-down rock-and-roll.”
Drake will be giving fans a sneak peek of the album at South By Southwest in March, and in between, he will be performing at high schools across the U.S. as part of the High School Nation tour, which also features Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas.
