We are less than a month away from the premiere of “Teen Beach Movie” on Disney Channel!
In a new behind-the-scenes featurette, we’re getting a closer look at Mack’s story. Maia Mitchell plays the surfer who is struggling between growing up and having fun and being a kid.
“The movie takes place in a time of Mack’s life when she’s at a crossroads,” Maia explained. Ross Lynch added, “Mack thinks that she has to go off to this school and do exactly what she’s ‘supposed to do’, but really, Mack just wants to be a surfer.”
Maia continued, “It kind of touches on the whole idea of destiny, really opening up and figuring out who you are and what you want in life.”
