One Direction takes the stage to claim their moon man at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday evening.
The stars came out for an fun filled awards show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Before the show, Demi Lovato kicked things off with a performance of “Give Your Heart a Break” during the pre-show that was, well, on fire!
The show also featured great performances from some of our favorites like One Direction who sang “One Thing” and Taylor Swift who closed the show with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
While Rihanna took home video of the year, the night really belonged to the UK lads of One Direction who took home a total of 3 awards.
