When news of Kristen Stewart’s involvement with her Snow White & The Hunstman director Rupert Sanders broke, hopes for a sequel to the movie were put in question.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Universal has opted to not make a sequel to the movie, but rather a spin-off focusing on the Hunstman played by Chris Hemsworth. Kristen Stewart will not be a part of the movie and it is still unclear if Sanders will be returning.
“The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise,” a Universal spokeswoman says.
According to sources, the studio’s orignal plan was to make two films featuring Snow White and a third film spinning off the Huntsman.
