Taylor Swift’s New Album ‘Red’ to Be Released October 22

Taylor Swift held a live chat today where she revealed a ton of big news.

Taylor shared her brand new album cover and revealed that the record will be titled Red and in stores October 22. Taylor revealed, “When I was coming up with the name, it was crazy because it was really simple. I wrote a song called “Red” and thinking about what that means to me and all the different emotions that are written about on this album – they’re all pretty much about the tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years. All those emotions spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that. In my mind, all those emotions are red. There’s nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings.”

There will be 16 songs (many co-writes this time around) on the album and that doesn’t include bonus tracks. Score for TSwift fans! A lot of the songs are about things Taylor has been through or things people close to her have experienced.

Taylor had even more great news to share during her chat. Her first single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” will be released TODAY on iTunes. That’s right, finally a brand new TSwift single for our ears. So who exactly is Taylor not getting back together with? According to the lyrics, it’s a musician who put out an indie record. Hmmm…
