Flo Rida and fun. to Perform at the 2012 Do Something Awards

The 2012 Do Something Awards just became one of the hottest tickets in town!

DoSomething.org and VH1 announced today that Flo Rida and fun. will hit the stage to perform at the star-studded 2012 Do Something Awards (#DSAwards) along with celebrity presenters Ashley Greene and Jordin Sparks.

“We honor, we pay tribute, we reward…and we jam! With eight top ten hits, Flo Rida and the indie band that incorporates our mantra, be young and Fun., we are all sure to have an awesome time!” said Nancy Lublin, CEO and Chief Old Person of DoSomething.org.

“We are thrilled that our top choices for music performances immediately accepted our invitations. We know that Flo Rida and fun. will make it an incredible celebration!” added Tom Calderone, President, VH1.

The annual awards show honors celebrities and those in our communities who are making a difference in the world. In addition to celebrity nominees like Kristen Bell, Ben Affleck, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Nicole Richie, Neil Patrick Harris, Channing Tatum, and Emma Stone, five inspiring young people who have gone above and beyond to make a difference will compete for a special grant to fund their projects.

The 2012 Do Something Awards will be hosted by those hilarious and loveable “New Girl” stars Jake Johnson, Emmy-nominated Max Greenfield and Lamorne Morris and will air Tuesday, August 21, 2011 at 9:00pm EST on VH1.
