Fans of The Hunger Games, get excited! Another casting announcement has been made!

We know everyone is eagerly awaiting the official announcements for the casting of characters like Finnick and Johanna, but in the meantime, we have our Wiress!

Amanda Plummer from Pulp Fiction and “Get A Clue” has landed the role of the “nutty” District 3 tribute.

**SPOILER ALERT** if you haven’t read the book – Wiress becomes an ally of Katniss in the 75th Annual Hunger Games and proved her worth when she revealed to her allies that the arena was shaped and operated like a clock by saying “Tick tock” repetitively until Katniss figured it out. Knowing this, Katniss and the others were able to predict the devastating obstacles the Gamemakers arranged. She is the loyal companion of Beetee.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
