A clip from the racy movie was shown last week during the Cannes Film Festival and it looks like it’s getting pretty good reviews so far. Some festival goers took to twitter to express their thoughts.
Tom Charity said on twitter, “The best thing I’ve seen so far in Cannes: the outdoor movie Harmony Korine, Spring Breakers, alongside Tarantino movie. Harm is back!”
“The craziest movie of 2013? To be a Harmony Korine movie with theft, lesbian scenes, and punk. And James Franco with gold teeth.” added Twitter user Filiberto Molossi.
Sounds like we’ll get to see these three ladies in a whole new light after this movie. Ashley recently spoke to Wet Paint about filming the movie. “It was amazing,” she said. “It was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Working with Harmony Korine [the director], it was so cool. It’s very different from this show, I play this crazy girl, psychopath, trailer trash wild person and I played opposite James Franco, which was really cool. Being in the presence of him and Harmony, I learned so much. It was eye opening. There are some previews in Cannes, then we go to festivals later this year. It will come out in theaters March of next year.”
