Could Simon Cowell and “The X Factor” be trying to bring in a younger audience? Reports surfaced today that both Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato are being looked at for judges on the second season of the reality competition show.
Celebuzz reported earlier today that Miley is being considered as a fourth judge on the show to join Simon, LA Reid and possibly Britney Spears.
She is on Simon’s top-secret shortlist that also includes Fergie, Avril Lavigne and another former Disney Channel star, Demi Lovato, an insider confirmed.
“There have been talks with Miley,” the source revealed.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Demi has also been in talks for the position. The deal is not yet done and could fall apart, but sources say Lovato’s team is in final negotiations for the job.
The announcement of the final X Factor judges is expected to be announced at the Fox upfront event for ad buyers May 14.
We’ve seen some of Miley’s mentoring skills on “American Idol” before and Demi has definitely made a name for herself in the music world.
