Celebrities Band Together to Support ‘Bully’ Movie on Twitter Tuesday

Victoria Justice sandwiches in between real-life stars of the documentary Bully, Alex Libby & Kelby Johnson, at the Hollywood premiere on Monday night.

After receiving an R-Rating from the MPAA and an attempt to get the rating overturned, Bully will be released this weekend as unrated. Many celebrities have banded together to show their support for this moving and powerful documentary and Bully tweets took over twitter yesterday.

The #BULLYMOVIE hashtag was tweeted, retweeted, and posted by fans, supporters, celebrities, and organizations all around the country. The hashtag has reached over 100 million Twitter users and was retweeted by numerous celebrities including Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin, Katy Perry, Ryan Seacrest, Arianna Huffington, Piers Morgan, Hugh Jackman, Kristen Bell, Anderson Cooper, Chelsea Handler, Zooey Deschanel, Alyssa Milano, Jessica Simpson, Jimmy Fallon, Russell Simmons, Kevin McHale, Channing Tatum, Paula Abdul, Kathy Griffin, and Rachel Zoe.

Over 13 million American kids will be bullied this year, making it the most common form of violence experienced by young people in the nation. Bully, directed by Sundance and Emmy-award winning filmmaker Lee Hirsch, brings human scale to this startling statistic, offering an intimate, unflinching look at how bullying has touched five kids and their families.
