Justin Bieber is showing off quite a different side on the cover of Complex Magazine.
To celebrate the magazine’s 10th anniversary, Justin is featured on two covers showing off a bloody battered look. If you watch the very interesting behind-the-scenes video below, you’ll see Justin in the boxing ring taking some “blows.”
In the issue, Justin opens up about his music and striving to challenge himself to be the best.
On his parents divorce: They did the best they could, but it was tough for them. They had to work on their relationship, and trying to raise a kid through that was hard. It made me stronger. There’s a lot of people that I know who wouldn’t be able to handle the position that I’m in now, because it’s too much pressure.
On striving to be the best: There’s no point in doing this if I’m not going to be the best. I give up a personal life. I give up my friends and family to pursue what I love and to make my fans happy. Why would I give up so much to be just another singer?
On his music: I feel like it’s my responsibility to be the greatest I can be. If I start making terrible music, I don’t expect people to like me. If I’m making great music and there’s no reason for people to dislike me, that’s when it’s going to make me upset. People just need to take a chance and listen. If they don’t want to take a chance, then I don’t know. That’s going to be the biggest problem, to make them feel like it’s cool for them to like my music.
