Congrats to the cast and crew of “Austin & Ally”!
According to THR, Disney Channel has renewed the musical comedy for a second season. “Austin & Ally has struck a chord with viewers who love the relationships and funny storylines, along with the upbeat music. We are excited to continue the characters’ journeys with the amazingly talented cast and creative team,” said Adam Bonnett, svp, original programming at Disney Channels Worldwide.
Production is set to start this Summer. In the meantime, there’s still new episodes from the first season to look forward to. In the March 25 episode, “Soup & Stars,” Trish’s new boss at Miss Suzy’s Soups is also Ally’s former elementary school teacher and when Ally inadvertently plays a prank on her, Miss Suzy’s business starts to suffer. Ally feels terrible, so she, Austin, Trish and Dez come up with a plan to help get customers back in the door.
