Selena was set to perform at B96’s Jingle Ball Bash tonight, but at the last minute had to pull out due to a family emergency. The station wrote, “Due to a family emergency, Selena Gomez will not be performing tonight. We will keep Selena and her family in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. Once more information becomes available, we will let you know.”
E! has learned that Selena’s mother, Mandy, suffered a miscarriage last night. Selena announced via twitter last month that Mandy and her step-dad Brian were expecting their first child.
E! also reports that Selena was in the audience at Power 106’s Cali Christmas 2011 concert in Los Angeles last night when she learned of her mother’s tragic news. She immediately left the show and headed home.
