Adam Hicks to Replace Mitchel Musso on “Pair of Kings”

When Mitchel Musso was charged with a DUI in October, which he’s since pleaded not guilty, it was questioned whether the 20-year-old would return to his Disney XD show “Pair of Kings.” We now have our answer, Mitchel is out and Adam Hicks from “Lemonade Mouth” and “Zeke & Luther” is in!

Adam will join the cast for the third season as a new long lost brother. Adam Bonnett, Senior Vice President, Original Series, Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement, “Adam’s comedic talent will add a new dimension to an already successful series and we’re eager to introduce the new character to our viewers.”

He continued, “Mitchel is a part of our family and for him, it will always be about versatility and doing different things on an artistic level. We have tremendous respect for his talent and we thank him for his contribution to the series.”

Mitchel Musso said, “Since I was 12, Disney Channel has been an extended family to me and I want all of my friends there to know that I appreciate the opportunities that have come my way and I look forward to focusing on acting and music projects that are in development and sharing the news with my fans around the world soon. I wish the cast, producers, and crew nothing but success on the next season of ‘Pair of Kings.'”

Mitchel will continue to lend his voice to “Phineas & Ferb,” but we’re guessing this also means an end to “PrankStars.”

  1. Hicks is a talented actor and was amazing on Lemonade Mouth.Musso is also verry talented as playing Brady.I love the show can not wait till Adam Hicks is on it!~a 13 year old girl

    • i think the should bring brady back to join boomer and the new guy would make for a more interesting series

Soooo…Disney’s gonna kick off a king from PAIR OF KINGS and replace him with some other king who is probably their “long lost triplet” who doesn’t look a thing like the original twins and explain away the fact that one of the original kings/ twins dissapeared all because Brady’s actor mitchel musso was caught drunk driving ( who also happens to plead not guilty) while previously the star of another show – Hannah – was pregnant while 15.
    P.S.
    Doesn’t boomer and Brady’s family seem a little messed up? I mean first they don’t know who was born first – the black kid or the white kid, then some mysterious third triplet who doesn’t look alike shows up.

    • Okay one: I hate Miley Cyrus but that rumor was actually made up and two: “black kid and white kid”? What the hell you racist ass, that was insulting to everyone. Three: in chance you didn’t notice the twin kings don’t look anything alike, so why do you expect the so called triplet to look alike? Btw the reason the main reason mitchel was fired is because he’s supposed to set an example for the kids watching Pair of Kings.

  6. adam hicks is good but please..i dont want mitchel to go.damn that sucks. I watch zeke and luther but mitchel is way cooler and way funnier than adam. Anyway who would watch the show? I only watch it because mitchel acts like he owns the show, he adds a style to the show that makes it so unique and im feeling really sad that hes leaving!! Why cant he stay?? Its like replacing a character that is irreplacable… Its like replacing piccahiue in pokemon, its like replacing goku in dbz its like replacing a whole show.. Please, i dont want mitchel musso to leave the show.. Give the guy a chance! He really means a lot to that show.. i can truly see it… Why cant you??

    • True That. You guys suck, we were just going to get into a possible relationship between mikalya and Brady, And of hey screw it up. And did you guys see the episode, after brady left boomer was sad, but then they throw king boz in their and boomer acts like nothing happened.The brady mikayla story/ Brady own the show attitude is why I watched the show this sucks . Also it makes no sence if they continie To Use his theme song. So Booo Pair of kings is no longer pair of kings, And they should have just ended the show if mitchell was going to leave. I have watched my last pair of kings episod 🙁

Look Adam is a great actor he’s funny but he’s better in his own show without Mitchel the show is gonna fail pair of kings is Mitchel musso give him a change the show was getting better I cannot have another shoe end badly please give him a chance he awesome he’s funny,cute,and he own the show I bet just like me many people only started watching the show because of Mitchel!!!!!

    • This just pissed me off big time, I just randomly started watching Pair of Kings because of Mitchel Musso and he’s a really funny guy playing Brady. I hope the studio can see the disappointment in all the fans. I mean really a DUI? He pleaded not guilty? So what’s the big problem. I’m gonna be honest I almost cried when I saw that Mitchel wasn’t on the show anymore! I just hope the studio will realized their being a bunch of dumbasses and bring Brady back as a guest or replaced Adam for a season 4, cause honestly Adam Hicks is a dreadful actor and I really don’t like him…

  18. I THINK REPLACING MITCHEL IS A HUGE MISTAKE! I DONT DOUBT ADAM HICKS IS A GREAT ACTOR BUT HES NO MITCHEL. MITCHEL CAME ON AT THE BEGINNING AND MADE THE SHOW WHAT IT IS , ITS BECAUSE OF HIM THAT WE WATCH PAIR OF KINGS AND WHEN HE STOPS APPEARING ON THE SHOW THATS WHEN WE STOP WATCHING. OMG MY FREAKING GOD!!!!! i dont care about pair of kings any more cuz of stupid adam hicks. he has his own show so why he gets so greedy?!?!? mitchel musso deserves to stay like i deserve oovoo 😉 but still this is serious, does Disney want to ruin a Good show since Wizards of Waverly Place ended. geez ppl, what happened to all the good actors and shows……This is sad :'(

  20. Saying ‘Black&White’ Isn’t racist hahahaha, They even say in the show how one parent was black and the other was white so suck on them.
    Pair of Kings is going to be shit with out mitchel.
    Plus adam hicks is a red head and pure white skin, hes practically and albino with red hair..

  22. Aww Mikayla won’t be funny anymore. The reason she’s in the show is because brady likes her. She won’t be funny without Brady anymore. Don’t get me wrong though I like Adam Hicks. I am just saying it won’t be that funny anymore and nobody can replace Musso. Anyways Brady just kissed Mikayla at the end of season two. He can’t just leave. I am going to miss Brady.

  25. You can’t get rid of Brady and replace him with this other guy. Mituchel is a good actor for this show the addem is not really fit to play this role.they are also going to lose lots of fans. So if u are some who works for this show your best thing to do is PUT HIM BACK

  26. WHY, he was my favorite character! I named 2 of my pets on Wizard101 after the kings. The show is Pair of Kings, not replacable Kings.

  27. Adam Hicks is a horrible actor his character in Zeke and Luther was a little too dumb which ruined the show. It is i probably why it got cancelled because of his horrible acting, i know it was the reason i never watched it and shook my head at his character. i think he will ruin pair of kings as well next season without mitchel who is irreplaceable.

Disney is losing all there viewers becuz they keep trying to change shows or end them they need to bring back good shows now there getting rid of another good show first hannah montanna then wizards of waverly place then pair of ings watch once they 1 more show all there viewers will be gone!   33. I saw the show just now and it sucked hard. It’s like The Land of The Lost all over again where characters get replaced and they write them out by watching the back of the head of some dude in a wig run around because the producers don’t want the real actor around for some gay reason. And, yes, one brother is black and one is white. One is a nigger and the other a white. THAT’s why the show is funny to begin with. The idea of a nigger and a white being brothers is what makes it funny. It’s okay to laugh and be racist. It fuels me creatively.
