Shailene Woodley: National Board of Review’s Best Supporting Actress

Awards season is off to a great start for Shailene Woodley!

The 20-year-old was named the Best Supporting Actress of the year for her role in The Descendants by the National Board of Review. Her co-star George Clooney took home the best actor trophy while The Help won best ensemble and the Harry Potter franchise was awarded the Special Achievement in Filmmaking award.

Oscar buzz is surrounding Shailene for her breakout movie role and she’s also just picked up a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Independent Spirit Awards. She’s definitely come a long way since starting her starring role on “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.”

Shailene has also been busy making the press rounds. She dropped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show as well as VH1’s the Buzz. Check out both interviews below.
