-Thank goodness for the DVR! Five of our favorite shows air on Monday night, making it our favorite night on TV.

The CW has one of our long time favorites, “One Tree Hill,” and our favorite new show of the season, “Life Unexpected.” In the new episode of “One Tree Hill” titled, “My Attendance is Bad But My Intentions Are Good,” Julian (Austin Nichols) has begun shooting his new movie, starring Alex (Jana Kramer). He’s hired Brooke (Sophia Bush) as his costume designer and must try to find a balance between their personal lives and work. Nathan (James Lafferty) and Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) have been dealing with the return of Haley’s sister Taylor (guest star Lindsey McKeon), which always means trouble. They end up receiving another surprise visit while Clay (Robert Buckley) supports Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) as she faces some unexpected news. Meanwhile, Alexsets her sights on Alexander (guest star Mitch Ryan), and Millicent (Lisa Goldstein) finds herself struggling with temptation. The episode airs on the CW at 8pm EST.

On “Life Unexpected,” Lux (Britt Robertson) gets suspended from school and Cate (Shiri Appleby) does her best to convince Principal Dugan (guest star Merrilyn Gann, “Everwood”) to give Lux a second chance, but, unfortunately, her efforts may have made the situation considerably worse for Lux. Meanwhile, Baze (Kristoffer Polaha) is insulted when he finds out that Cate and Ryan (Kerr Smith) are hosting a radio station event at the bar across the street. The episode titled “Bong Intercepted” airs at 9pm EST on the CW.

We’ve been a longtime fan of the WB/CW and “Life Unexpected” reminds us of it’s former shows like “7th Heaven,” “Everwood” and “Gilmore Girls.” The show has drama, but with heart. While shows like “Gossip Girl,” “90210” and “Melrose Place” are good and popular, this is one you can feel safe watching with your whole family. If you haven’t seen it yet, we highly recommend it. Read a great interview with Shiri & Britt HERE.

Over on ABC Family, we have “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and “Make It or Break It.”

First up on “Secret Life,” Jimmy hasn’t called Amy (Shailene Woodley) back after their first date. She has no idea why and thinks it’s because she is a bad kisser. Ricky (Daren Kagasoff) offers to help her practice and Ashley (India Eisley) catches the two in a lip lock. At school, there is an upcoming mother/daughter dance that has the girls freaking out. Ben (Ken Baumann) also hopes to get closer to Grace (Megan Park). Adrian’s (Francia Raisa) parents are also getting married, and in an effort to further strengthen Adrian and Ricky’s relationship, Adrian asks Ricky to invite his foster parents to the ceremony to serve as witnesses. The episode, titled “Let’s Try That Again,” airs on ABC Family tonight at 8pm EST.

The drama at Grant High is followed by even more drama at The Rock. In the new episode, “Save the Last Dance,” the girls and guys from the Rock, get a taste of regular high school life when they attend Payson’s (Ayla Kell) high school prom. Razor (Nico Tortorella) and Damon’s (Johnny Pacar) band, The Shelter Pups, also lands a gig performing at the school dance, much to Emily’s (Chelsea Hobbs) surprise. Carter (Zachary Abel) tries to use the night to win back Kaylie (Josie Loren), while Lauren (Cassie Scerbo) tries to solve the mystery of who her dad is dating. This all new episode of “Make It or Break It” airs on ABC Family at 9pm EST. To view stills from the episode, go HERE.

Finally, over on MTV at 10pm EST is a brand-new episode of “The Buried Life.” On tonight’s episode, the guys try to cross off #74 on their list, deliver a baby. They pack up their bus and head to Memphis, TN to try and accomplish their goal. And of course, for everything on their list, they try to help a stranger. They meet a Memphis local who is trying to get to Denver and they guys start working various odd jobs to raise money.
