Taylor Swift & More to Perform at Haiti Telethon; Brit Award Nom

Taylor Swift’s new song, “Today Was a Fairytale”, from the upcoming movie Valentine’s Day is available now on iTunes. Also, according to E! Online, the country superstar along with Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Shakira and Bruce Springsteen will be performing at the 2-hour Telethon to benefit Haiti. The event will air on multiple networks such as all of MTV’s platforms, including VH1, as well as on ABC, NBC, HBO, E! and CNN on Jan. 22 from 8-10 p.m. ET.

Part of the telethon will also be taking place in London. Robert Pattison will be a presenter and Jay-Z & Bono will be performing. Other mega-celebs who will present and/or help in the phone banks back in the US are Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Brad Pitt, Anna Kendrick, Sandra Bullock, Zac Efron, Bradley Cooper, Renée Zellweger, Chris Pine, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Colin Farrell, Jon Hamm, Gabby Sidibe and Emily Blunt, among many others.

Taylor also received a Brit Award nomination for International Breakthrough Act. Her competition is Animal Collective, Daniel Merriweather, Empire of the Sun and Lady Gaga. The show will take place on Tuesday 16 February at London’s Earls Court Arena.
