Jonas Brothers Surprise NYC Concert Coverage

2

-The Jonas Brothers definitely love their fans. On Thursday morning, the trio announced they would be doing a surprise FREE concert at Irving Plaza in NYC. The first 700 people to lineup around 4pm would be allowed in.

SO-M was lucky to be allowed to cover the event. We even had the chance to give away two tickets for the show, which we did via our twitter. It was a fun night filled with old songs, plus a lot of new songs from their upcoming album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times due out on Tuesday. The new JB horn section showed off their skills, while both Nick & Kevin Jonas played guitar and piano. The boys showed off some spiffy new guitars and a new sound. At one point during “Much Better,” Kevin Jonas climbed on top of the piano and rocked out a guitar solo.

The crowd was pumped the entire time and knew all the words, even to most of the new songs. They opened with their latest single, “Paranoid,” and also played new tunes “Poison Ivy,” “Fly With Me,” “The Black Keys” (which Nick mixed with “A Little Bit Longer” and also gave a great speech), “Much Better,” “Turn Right” and “World War III.” They closed the night with “SOS” and an encore of “Burnin’ Up” complete with Big Rob. (We filmed all the new songs)

Nick said multiple times that they’ve had a lot to talk about this album and also they have the best fans in the world. Check out our pictures and videos below and be sure to get the new album on June 16th.

ALSO, big thanks to our friends at Popstar! for posting some of our coverage!
