-Varsity Fanclub will be joining Miley Cyrus, Push Play, David Archuleta and more in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Pop’s hottest newcomers will perform their hit “Future Love” for the first time on national television on the United States Postal Service’s Spirit of America float. The parade airs live Thanksgiving morning on NBC, kicking off at 9:00am.

“We’re excited beyond belief to perform at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, It’s an American tradition that all of us grew up watching on TV,” said Varsity Fanclub member Thomas Fiss.

Varsity Fanclub are set to release their self-titled debut on January 13th from Stonehall Records / Capitol Records. The first single “Future Love,” produced by Ryan Tedder has been a Radio Disney staple for months. The futuristic video has received over 1.3 million views on youtube in just 4 weeks and was recently added to MTV Hits and Nickelodeon’s The N. Audio and video streams of the songs posted on Varsity Fanclub’s official Myspace page at ww.myspace.com/varsityfanclub have racked up more than 8.2 million plays since the page launched in March 2008 and are piling up daily by the thousands.

Before hitting NYC for the Thanksgiving Celebration, Varsity Fanclub joined Natalie Cole, Band From TV and Jon Lovitz at the Grove in Los Angeles for 7th annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, November 23rd, where they performed their own holiday song “It’s Christmas Again.” Dubbed as the West Coast’s “Rockefeller Tree Lighting,” the annual event draws approximately 30,000 spectators.

The five young men of Varsity Fanclub (Jayk Purdy, Thomas Fiss, Drew Ryan Scott, David Lei Brandt and Bobby Edner) survived a vetting process tougher than televised bootcamps American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. The result is five triple-threats as vocalists, dancers, and actors, each one of them groomed to dazzle in the studio, on stage, and in every TV or film endeavor.
